Do Something New In 2019

We can all get stuck in a rut, but there are so many things we can do to nourish and renew ourselves in all areas of our lives.

Some of the new things I am doing this year are the flollowing: Getting better at speaking Spanish (DuoLingo is a great language app), volunteering with Hands On Atlanta and Project Open Hand, trying Cryotherapy at Icebox Cryotherapy, reading more books, getting more proficient at boxing and kickboxing, traveling to new places, making new connections with people in the wellness industry, creating an online course in wellness, cutting down more on waste and continuing to declutter my house, playing pickleball, and playing my ukulele more.

All of these activities will nourish my mind, body and spirit. I want to do a better job of watching my thoughts and focusing on how I want to feel. Our thoughts can sometimes bring us into a negative headspace. It takes practice to notice these thoughts and to tell ourselves they are only thoughts, and that they can be changed.

It is hard to balance all of the different areas of our lives, but it is possible if we focus on how we want to feel.
